Police Commissioner Announcement - key points

• Hard Shire borders from midnight tonight, the four local
government areas in the Kimberley will be locked down.
People MUST stay in their home town.
• Does not impact on existing exemptions (medical, work,
compassionate).
• Police will patrol shire borders with SES and defence
force support.

Currently 9 cases in Broome, 2 in Kununurra and 1 in Halls Creek.

Additional health and police coming to the Kimberley.
