Kimberley national parks and campgrounds reopen

Since re-opening our campground bookings on 1 May, we have had plenty of happy campers visiting many of the 268 campgrounds we manage across the State!

And as part of the State Government’s roadmap to carefully ease COVID-19 restrictions, people will be able to travel within new regional boundaries from next Monday (18 May).
That means there will be more campgrounds in reach for Western Australians.

From midday Monday, we are pleased to offer longer stays and a longer advance booking period to campers. Online bookings will be available for stays of up to 28 days at a time and can be made 28 days ahead of an arrival date, instead of 14 days. Non bookable campgrounds will continue to operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are also opening all Kimberley national parks and campgrounds from Monday, with the exception of Silent Grove campground, which is undergoing maintenance works and will be open in early June.

We are also pleased to announce that the following attractions will re-open on Monday:
🐬 Monkey Mia experience in the Midwest region
🐾 Barna Mia Experience near Narrogin in the Wheatbelt region
🌳Tree Top Walk near Walpole in the Great Southern region

We encourage visitors to continue to observe social distancing, good hygiene and only travel within their new regional boundaries. The four square metres of space per person rule, with particular attention to shared facilities, must also be followed.
